Never underestimate the importance of literate and clever contents on the pages of your website. Word is a powerful means of expression and though you sell high-quality service and it seems to you that there is no need to be eloquent for this, you are mistaken here. Copywriter may seem not significant figure for the company but very important. Texts together with visualization may create powerful image of your product in the clients' minds, which will pursue them and will make them return to your site again and again. It is important to attract the public's attention to your site with definite content and you may make experiments here. If you think that what you wrote is not good enough and customers do not react, you may try to change the situation, changing the content.
Please, read the information below.
1. How to open Resource manager?
Log in to Admin panel of your site, using the e-mail and password.
Press "Settings", than "Resource manager".
Resource manager will be opened in new window.
All the texts are divided into separate phrases and each phrase has it's own unique Id.
In case you've decided to change the whole site phrase by phrase follow the next description.
1. Look at our demo site as an example. Let's say you want to change phrase "Our models" to "Our ladies".
2. You have to copy this phrase and paste in the field like it's shown below. It's strongly recommended to avoid space before and after the phrase.
3. As the phrase is in English you should choose the according "Identifier name".
4. Then press "Search".
5. You will see the results of search below.
There are the keys for understanding TEXT ID:
W_ - means that the phrase is located in www-part of your web site.
S_ - means that the phrase is located in admin and studio part of your web site.
M_ - means that the phrase is located in model part of your web site.
As our phrase was taken from www-part of our web site we should look for W_.
As our phrase was taken from index page (main page) of our web site we should look for W_index.
So we have three variants. Look in "English value" column for help.
Seems like the last one is more appropriate for our request.
Click on "Text id" then.
There will appear new window. You can see "Our models" is written in English value field.
We wanted to change "Our models" to "Our ladies" so type it instead of "Our models".
Then scroll the page and press "Update".
In the new window you will see "Resource updated: text id of the phrase".
Now let's see how it changed on our www-part.
NOTE: There can be the situation when the value you want to delete or edit is "last language value". The system will not allow you to make such change. There will be a notification like this "Impossible to delete last language value. Please delete whole identifier".
To manage this, please delete the phrase you want and then press "Enter" button on your keyboard to change the line. Do it in English value field as well as in the rest languages your site has. Press "Update".
Once you have finished with all the texts and translations it is necessary to refresh the language data base. Only after this procedure newly created texts will appear on the pages of your web site.
- In the main menu please find and choose "Settings"
- Then "Site maps"
- And now "Remove language files"
- Pop up window will inform you that you are done. Please press "OK" to complete the process
We did it! Everything is just like we wanted.
Now you know how to change and edit texts on your web site. Just repeat all the actions according to your request.
